After graduating from the University of Canberra, Cailin was on the first plane out and moved straight to the Sunshine State, a state that Cailin now calls home. Cailin has always had a passion for Sustainable Architecture and since moving to Brisbane, this passion has grown tenfold. ‘I envisage the broader community and environmentally conscious architecture to be all one in the same. A community where living sustainably is second nature to people’.
Growing up in rural NSW, Cailin has been surrounded by the sense of community his entire life and plans to bring that sense to the architectural profession. Through these rural roots, Cailin developed his love for the natural element, and as down time from studying hard at university and working hard at Red Door, Cailin enjoys implementing this in the way of urban farming. ‘Growing up in the country, growing your own food, going to the farmer's markets – that is the feeling of community’ A feeling that Cailin refers to being felt working in the Red Door office.
