Bachelor of Design
After moving to Brisbane from the tropics of Darwin, Melinda has a love for tropical architecture that encompasses sustainable and efficient design. Her approach to architecture is humble and practical, and she aims to produce design responses that “speak to your soul”. Between reading up on the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Renzo Piano, and Peter Stutchbury; acing her classes at the Queensland University of Technology; and working hard at Red Door, Melinda will take a good book, a spot of Golf or a beer to help wind down.
It is obvious that Melinda is passionate about her role in the architectural field, and her determination to learn and succeed brought her to Brisbane. Melinda enjoys the ‘small town feel’ and ‘progressive environment’ that Brisbane offers, and at Red Door, she loves the friendly, hardworking team, and not to mention the coffee machine!
